In one of our favourite projects to date, in January 2016, Backchat Media supported Seven West Media in the unavoidable and unmissable coverage of the Australian Open Tournament.

Working closely with the Seven West Media Digital team, Backchat Media worked to build and execute the social media amplification and marketing for all 7Tennis properties, including covering the Brisbane International, APIA Tournament, Hopman Cup, Kooyong Classic, and of course, the Australian Open.

Based out of the Channel 7 office in Melbourne, the Backchat Media supported Seven West Media by providing 24/7 resourcing around content production, real-time social media engagement and a comprehensive digital marketing plan to drive reach, engagement and app installs.

At the beginning of the tournament Mel didn’t know much about tennis, but now she’s a pro! Who would have thought!
