The Real Housewives of Auckland

Backchat Media has worked with NBC Universal and Bravo New Zealand over the last four months to prepare the Social Media strategy that swept through Kiwi newsfeeds during Season One of The Real Housewives of Auckland.


Across the Bravo New Zealand social media presences, Backchat Media gave audiences a sneak peak of what’s to come and the chance to live-chat with the Housewives after select episodes.


To celebrate the launch of The Real Housewives of Auckland, Backchat Media worked with Bravo New Zealand to throw an exclusive premiere at Auckland’s Snapdragon, attended by Social Media influencers including Colin Mathura-Jeffree, Pebbles Hooper and Loic Quedec as well as the Housewives themselves, their friends and families.


Select episodes were followed by Facebook Live Q&A sessions with the Housewives and were hosted by Dominic Bowden and Jay Jay Harvey, each reaching over 1,000 simultaneous streams.


Every episode has seen the #RHOAKL hashtag trend on Twitter and the Bravo New Zealand Social Media footprint amassed a reach of over half a million people and 30,000 engagements across the two launch episodes.


The Real Housewives of Auckland Season One will run until October 28, 2016.
